Waymo, the autonomous Google spin-off, has signed a deal with Avis to manage its self-driving ride-share program in Phoenix. Secretive Apple is turning to Hertz for help with its autonomous project. Volvo, meanwhile, is turning to Nvidia, as the various autonomous vehicle players all line up partners in their push to production, reports TheDetroitBureau.com.
